Playing Tourist on a Sunday
Lazy Sunday Lunch
"Leisure is the time for doing something useful"
If you're like me when friends come to visit, it can be a little overwhelming trying to plan out what to do, particularly where to eat....L.A. has a lot to choose from...a good problem to have, but it can be hard.
So I try to make the experience a new and exciting one for everyone. With Jeremy in town from Boston I thought we would grab some Vietnamese at Little Sister in Downtown L.A. and it was an yummy surprise!
We started off with the Imperial Dumplings. They were spicy and very flavorful, but not heavy. Perfect for sharing.
Then we ordered two Bahn Mi Sandwiches I ordered the Six Spice Brisket and Jeremy ordered the Lemongrass Chicken.
The Brisket was tender and had sweet tangy taste. The Lemongrass Chicken was juicy, lemongrass was perfect amount of flavor, not overwhelming. Oh! and the soup that was paired with the sandwiches was perfect too.
Relaxing lunch with an old friend hit the spot on a lazy Sunday afternoon. I know I will be back the menu looked too good with a number of options to not make a return visit.
