Going Native at Tribal Cafe

Going Native at Tribal Cafe

Sometimes you just need a sandwich, nothing complicated, just a simple and satisfying sammie. That was me last night and luckly I found Tribal Cafe on Temple Street. I had driven by this place a number of times, but never stopped to check it out....good things come to those who wait I guess.

What I immediately liked about Tribal Cafe was that it felt like you could be anywhere, the atmosphere: low lighting, muraled walks and the smell of fresh coffee filled the air. It made me feel relaxed after a long Saturday.

The first thing you see is the rather impressive menu! Coffee, Tea, Brunch, Soups and yes Sandwiches lined the wall.

After taking in the menu I ordered the G8 Climate Change aka Turkey and Avacado Sandwich it was served hot with tomato, red onion, lettuce and garlic mayo. The turkey had a different flavor than I expected it was a little spicy and went well with the garlic mayo. The tomato, avacado and lettuce were incrediably fresh. Everything hit the spot.

As I waited for my sandwich I took a few photos of the cafe, like I mentioned before I felt like I could have been any where in the world last night, that's one of the many reasons I have grown to love L.A....you can be anywhere because of the many different flavors that make up L.A. City.
