Bada Bing; Bada Bombo--Seafood for the Soul
Step up the counter at Bombo in Downtown LA and you'll know instantly that you came to the right place. Chef Mark Peel fires up steel jacketed steam kettles to create fine-fast dishes steeped in rich, complex broths that will make you mouth, tummy, tastebuds...everything say thanks.
It's all about the broth here so I recommend that you try there Seattle Fish Stew $14
In a Lobster Broth, Clams, Mussels, Shrimp, Squid and Fresh Fish of the Day, Bacon, Diced Tomato, Crisp Downtown Fried Potatoes with Rouille on Steamed Rice with Flax Seed. It's amazing and filling. I swear none seafood fans should give it a try the complex flavors take away the "fishy" and leave behind rish aroma and taste.
Bombo offer a few other dishes and honestly I can't wait to try them all. So grab a friend or co-worker (if you work DTLA) and step up to the counter in Bombo in Grand Central Market.
