Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

24 Hours in Seattle---How to make a quick Retreat

I had almost forgotten how special Seattle, WA really is from the food, to the people it all makes for a relaxing retreat with great weather.

I landed in Seattle early Wednesday morning in preparation for my friends wedding and wanted a little down time before checking into #weddingcamp aka Ryan and Phillip's wedding.

Pike Place

Pike Place

I first stopped by the open farmer's market at Pike's Public Market Seattle's first open market dating back to 1907 and believe me it's aged like a fine wine which they have too. Think about everything that you would want in an open market and that will give you an idea of what Pike's Public Market is like.

Biscuit Bitch in the House

Of course with all of that walking around of course I would work up an appetite. So I started looking around for a cute spot to have a brunch...I landed very early so it was not quiet lunch time. And then I found Biscuit Bitch...you read that right and let me tell you these bitches are great! These bitches are your new best friends and everything.

Buttered Up Bitch with Bacon

Buttered Up Bitch with Bacon

I ordered the Buttered Up Bitch with bacon...fab...the biscuit was soft, buttery and literally the best biscuit that I've had in a long time. In fact I was sitting there talking to this guy who was visiting from LA too and we both said the same thing "this is better than D3"...and then started laughing. For those of you would don't know D3 is a cute breakfast/lunch spot in Glassell Park and they are kinda known for there biscuits, but Biscuit Bitch totally bitched slapped everyone.

Okay so I full and happy and have a little more time before the next train to Lake Tapps leaves what should I do well walk around of course. Living in LA is sunny 345 days a year, but LA is not really a walkable city, some areas are like DTLA, Echo Park, Silverlake and Los Feliz. so when you get a chance to explore another city that is walkable you take it!

The shoreline

Almost everywhere you look you can see lakes and Mt. Rainer standing impressively in the background. Seattle is beautiful, calm and offers you what we al long for...a moment to collect our thoughts and think.

Okay so deep breath....my 3:20pm train to Lake Tapps is here and it's time to get to #weddingcamp and get Ryan wedded to Phillip.
